Instagram on TV in DS-GO

DS-GO can show your Instagram on screens: Posts, Reels, Feed.

You can use Instagram in different ways, for example:
As the main content (Your Offering) — Instagram is shown full-screen, alternating with your other content: menu, list of services, YouTube, or a website.
Banner (Banners) — Instagram is shown in a small area and can appear over the main content, for example over YouTube or your menu.
Promotion (Promotion) — Instagram works like a commercial break: the main content is temporarily interrupted, Instagram (posts/Reels) appears on the screen, and then playback returns to your main content. These breaks happen periodically, at set intervals.
Breakfast & Lunch (Breakfast & Lunch) — Instagram is shown only during specific hours (for example, in the morning or daytime), and at other times your usual content is shown.

➡️ 1) Connect Instagram (one-time setup)

  • Open DS-GO → Content.
  • Go to the section where you want to use Instagram (for example Your Offering / Banners / Promotion / Breakfast & Lunch).
  • Tap + Add.
  • Choose one of the options:
Instagram Feed — if you want to show your feed. Instagram Posts & Reels — if you want to select specific posts and Reels.
  • The Instagram sign-in screen will open (in-app browser):
    - Sign in to your account (via Continue with Facebook or username/password).
    - If a cookies prompt appears, tap Allow / Accept.
    - On the permissions screen, tap Allow — without this, DS-GO can’t display your content.

After a successful sign-in, you’ll automatically return to DS-GO and can continue with display settings and publishing to your screen.

➡️ 2) Choose which posts to show.

After signing in, the Content selection screen will open — it’s a list of your Instagram posts.
Select the posts you want to show on the screen.
Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner to proceed to the next step

On the next screen, review your selection:
tap + if you want to add more posts;
tap ← Back if you want to go back and change the selection.
Tap Next.

➡️ 3) Configure display (days, time, appearance)

On the settings screen you can enable/select:

  • Show days — which days to show Instagram.
  • All day or Start time / End time — show all day or only during selected hours.
  • Font size — text size in your post.
  • Author (Show/Hide) — show or hide your account name on the screen.
  • Theme — light/dark display theme.
  • Post display time — how many seconds to show each post.

Tap Publish to start publishing.

If you publish Instagram Feed, please note:

  • There is no manual post selection in Feed*
DS-GO will display your feed automatically (all posts that match your settings).

  • You can limit the “age” of posts (Post age limit)*
To avoid showing older posts, set Post age limi*t, for example *30 days.
Posts older than that will automatically stop being published on the screen.

  • If you want only specific posts to appear on the screen, use Hashtag filter:
In Instagram, add the same hashtag to the posts you want to show, for example *#Screen
    (any hashtag works).
In DS-GO, enter this hashtag in Hashtag filter (for example, Screen).
From then on, DS-GO will publish only new posts that include that hashtag.

➡️ 4) After you tap Publish

After you tap Publish, you’ll return to the content page (Content) and see the loading process for your posts (import from Instagram).
When the loading finishes, publishing to your screens will start automatically.
You’ll know it has started by the indicator/icon on the Screens tab at the bottom.

You can check the publishing status in Screens.
While publishing is in progress, you’ll see a loading indicator next to your screen.
When the status changes to OK, your content is published.

✅ If you are not near the screen.

To make sure the content is actually showing on the TV:
Open Screens and tap your screen name.
The app will load a screenshot from the screen.
If the screenshot doesn’t load, check that DS-GO TV-Player is running on the TV (or that your Android TV / Fire TV box is on and online).
